How to program your TagLabs NFC tag

All TagLabs NFC tags are rewritable and can be programmed in seconds using your smartphone.

What you need

  • A smartphone with NFC

  • NFC enabled in your phone settings

  • "NFC Tools" app or similar (free on iOS and Android)

  • Your TagLabs NFC tag

How to program the NFC tag

  1. Install an NFC app (for example: NFC Tools)

  2. Open the app

  3. Choose “Write” and “Add a record”

  4. Select what you want the tag to do (URL, contact, Wi-Fi, etc.)

  5. Choose “Write” again
  6. Hold your phone close to the NFC tag

  7. Wait for the confirmation message

  8. Done! Your tag is programmed

Check by closing the app and holding your phone close to the NFC tag.

Important notes

  • NFC tags do not need power or batteries

  • The tag only works when a phone is very close

  • iPhones may show a confirmation popup before opening the action

  • You can lock the tag after programming (optional)

  • Locked tags cannot be edited unless unlocked

You can rewrite the tag anytime.

Troubleshooting

  • Make sure NFC is enabled in phone settings

  • Remove thick cases if scanning fails

  • Try repositioning the phone slowly

  • Some Android phones require screen to be unlocked
